Warp Text in Photoshop (2024)

Photoshop’s Warp Text tool lets you bend and stylize type in seconds. You’ll create a text layer, open the Warp dialog, choose a style, and fine-tune the bend and distortion settings before committing the result.

Step-by-step instructions

Create and select your text

  • Select the Type Tool (T) and click on the canvas.

  • Type your text.

  • Press Ctrl/Cmd+A to select all text and adjust font, size, and color as needed.

Apply Warp Text

  • Click the Create warped text icon in the Options bar (the curved “T”).

  • Choose a Style (e.g., Arc, Arch, Bulge) from the Style dropdown.

  • Set Bend to the desired value.

  • Choose Orientation: Horizontal or Vertical.

  • Adjust Horizontal/Vertical Distortion if needed, then click OK.

Commit and refine placement

  • Click the checkmark in the Options bar to commit the text.

  • Select the Move Tool (V) to reposition the warped text.

  • Optional: For manual control, use Edit → Transform → Warp.
