Step-by-step instructions

Open and select the layer

  • File → Open to load your image

  • In the Layers panel, select the layer you want to tilt (click the lock on Background to unlock if needed)

Activate Free Transform

  • Edit → Free Transform

  • Shortcut: Ctrl+T (Windows) / Cmd+T (Mac)

Tilt or rotate the image

  • Move the cursor just outside a corner handle until the rotate icon appears, then drag to tilt

  • Hold Shift to snap rotation in 15° increments

  • Optional: Enter an exact angle in the Options bar’s rotation field

Commit or cancel the transform

  • Press Enter/Return or click the checkmark to confirm

  • Press Esc to cancel if needed
