Rasterize a Layer in Photoshop
Rasterizing turns vector or text layers into standard pixel layers. Use it when you need to paint, erase, or apply certain filters that require pixel data.

Step-by-step instructions

Create or select a vector/text layer
Use a Shape tool to draw a shape or the Type Tool (T) to add text.
Select its layer in the Layers panel.

Rasterize the layer
Right-click the layer and choose Rasterize Layer.
Begin editing with pixel-based tools (Brush, Eraser, filters, etc.).
