2

Resize without losing quality

  • With the Smart Object selected, go to Edit → Free Transform (Ctrl/Cmd+T).

3

Apply non-destructive filters

  • Go to Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur, set a value, and click OK.

  • Notice the Smart Filter listed under the layer; double-click it anytime to change settings.

  • Try Filter → Camera Raw Filter; adjust sliders, click OK, and re-open later to tweak again.

4

Distort and replace content via Smart Object editing

  • Go to Edit → Transform → Distort and drag corners (holding Ctrl/Cmd) to fit a perspective (e.g., a device screen).

  • Double-click the Smart Object thumbnail to open its contents in a new window.

  • Add or change graphics/text, press Ctrl/Cmd+S to save, and return to see updates applied automatically.

5

Reuse and manage Smart Filters

  • Alt/Option-drag a Smart Filter from one Smart Object to another to copy it.
