Flatten an Image in Photoshop and Save as PDF for Printing
Before printing, confirm your image fits the plotter paper and flatten the file to a single layer. This guide covers sizing, non‑destructive saving, flattening, and exporting as a PDF with the required filename format.

Step-by-step instructions
Check print size limits
Go to Image → Image Size.
Set the units to Inches and ensure Width ≤ 35 in and Height ≤ 47 in.
If needed, enable Resample and adjust dimensions proportionally to fit within the limits.
Save a working copy before flattening
Go to File → Save As.
Enter a different filename so you can return to the layered file later.
Click Save.
Flatten the image
Go to Select → All (Ctrl+A) to ensure the whole canvas is active.
Go to Layer → Flatten Image to merge all layers into one.
Verify the Layers panel now shows a single Background layer.
Save as Photoshop PDF with correct name
Go to File → Save As and choose Photoshop PDF as the format.
Name the file using: yourPSUaccessID_college (e.g., xyz123_AG).
Click Save to finalize the PDF and prepare for printing.
