Add a Vignette in Photoshop (2025)
This quick method adds a classic dark-edge vignette without permanently altering your image. You’ll use a Gradient Fill layer, set it to a radial style with Reverse enabled, then blend it with Multiply and fine‑tune the scale and opacity.

Step-by-step instructions
Create a Gradient Fill layer
Go to Layer → New Fill Layer → Gradient… and click OK.
In the Gradient Fill dialog, click the gradient swatch to open the picker.
Set the gradient and radial style
Choose Basics → Black, White (commonly the third preset).
Set Style → Radial and enable Reverse so the center stays bright.
Increase Scale to expand the vignette until it suits your image.
Click OK.
Blend and adjust intensity
In the Layers panel, set the Gradient Fill layer’s Blend Mode to Multiply.
Lower the layer Opacity if the vignette is too strong.
Review and tweak
Toggle the layer visibility to compare before/after.
Double‑click the Gradient Fill thumbnail anytime to tweak Style, Reverse, or Scale.
