Open Scratch Disk preferences

  • Open Photoshop.

  • Go to Edit → Preferences → Scratch Disks.

Choose a new scratch disk

  • In the Scratch Disks dialog, check the drive(s) you want Photoshop to use.

  • Ensure the selected drive has ample free space.

  • Click OK.

Restart Photoshop

  • Close Photoshop completely.
