Change Any Color in Photoshop Using Hue/Saturation
This workflow uses a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer to target and remap a specific color. You’ll use the on-image Hand tool to sample the color, expand the range for clean coverage, and then choose any new hue you like. It’s fast, flexible, and completely non-destructive.

Step-by-step instructions
Create a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer
Go to Layer → New Adjustment Layer → Hue/Saturation.
In the Properties panel, click the Hand tool icon.
Target the color to change
Click directly on the object (e.g., a dress) whose color you want to change.
Temporarily drag Hue and Saturation to the right to visualize what’s being targeted.
Expand and refine the color range
Adjust the color-range sliders beneath the gradient to include the entire area.
Widen the range and soften transitions so coverage is smooth.
Make sure nearby tones (like skin) are not affected.
Choose the new color
Return Hue and Saturation to 0.
Drag the Hue slider to pick the new color (red, pink, etc.).
Adjust Saturation to taste for a natural look.
Make it grayscale if desired
Reduce Saturation to -100 to remove color for a black-and-white look.
If other areas are affected, fine-tune the color-range sliders again.
