Step-by-step instructions

Download and prepare your brush file

  • Download a Photoshop brush pack (.abr) from a trusted source and note its folder location.

  • If the download is zipped, extract it so you can access the .abr file.

Load the brushes into Photoshop

  • Select the Brush Tool (B).

  • Open the Brush Preset Picker in the Options bar and click the gear/settings icon.

  • Choose Load Brushes.

  • Navigate to your .abr file, select it, and click Load.

Use your new brushes

  • Scroll to the bottom of the brush list to find the newly added set.

  • Select a brush tip and paint on a layer to test it.
