Create a 2x2 Photo with Formal Attire in Photoshop
Need a clean 2×2 portrait with formal attire? This walkthrough shows how to set up a 2×2 canvas, place your subject, add and fit a suit or coat with Warp, and refine edges using a layer mask. Finish by flattening and exporting your image at the proper size and resolution.

Step-by-step instructions
Create a 2×2 document
Go to File → New.
Units: Inches; Width: 2 in; Height: 2 in; Resolution: 300 Pixels/Inch; Color Mode: RGB, 8 bit; Background Contents: White.
Click Create.
Place and mask the subject
File → Place Embedded…; select your portrait and click Place.
Resize and position with the corner handles; press Enter/Return to confirm.
Go to Select → Subject to auto-select the person.
Click Add Layer Mask in the Layers panel to remove the background.
Place the suit/coat and align it
File → Place Embedded…; select the suit/coat image and click Place.
Drag/scale to match the subject’s shoulders and neckline; press Enter/Return.
Right-click the suit layer → Rasterize Layer.
Fit the suit using Warp
Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool (M).
Draw a freeform rectangle from the bottom-right corner toward the middle to target collar/shoulder areas.
Go to Edit → Transform → Warp.
Drag the warp handles to shape the collar and shoulders naturally; press Enter/Return.
Select → Deselect to remove the selection.
Refine edges with the layer mask
Select the Brush Tool (B) and choose a Hard Round brush.
Click the subject’s layer mask thumbnail.
Set Foreground Color to black and paint to hide stray edges or overlap; switch to white to reveal if you remove too much.
Flatten and export
Go to Layer → Flatten Image.
File → Save As… or File → Export → Export As to save your 2×2 image.
