Remove Glasses Glare and Window Reflections in Photoshop (1‑Click)
Photoshop’s AI-powered Reflection Removal in Camera Raw makes removing glare from glasses or windows fast. You’ll convert to a Smart Object, apply the effect, and clean any leftovers on a new layer. As a bonus, you’ll see how to isolate the reflection for creative compositing.

Step-by-step instructions
Convert to a Smart Object
Right-click your image layer → Convert to Smart Object (keeps edits editable).
Open Camera Raw Filter
Go to Filter → Camera Raw Filter.
Press B to enter Remove options (or click the Remove tool icon).
Enable Reflection Removal controls (if hidden)
Click the gear icon (Settings).
Under Technology Previews, enable New AI features in Settings panel.
Click OK to return.
Apply AI Reflection Removal
In Distraction Removal → Reflections, set Quality to Best.
Check Apply to remove reflections/glare.
Adjust Intensity: 100 for maximum removal; reduce to blend with original; 0 equals original; negative values reveal only the reflection for compositing.
Click the eye icon to preview on/off if needed.
Commit the adjustment
Click OK to apply Camera Raw Filter to the Smart Object.
Clean residual glare with the Remove tool in Photoshop
Create a blank layer above (Layer → New → Layer).
Select the Remove Tool from the toolbar.
Paint over any remaining reflection streaks or artifacts.
Toggle the layer’s visibility to compare before/after.
Optional: Extract and reuse the reflection for compositing
Double-click Camera Raw Filter under the Smart Object.
Drag Intensity to −100 to view only the reflection; click OK.
Choose the Move Tool (V), drag the Smart Object to another document/tab and release.
Go to Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur and set Radius ≈ 5.4 px to soften texture; click OK.
Change Blend Mode to Screen to overlay as a realistic reflection.
Add Layer → New Adjustment Layer → Brightness/Contrast, click the clipping mask icon, then adjust to control reflection strength.
